Aaron Torrence, AIA started his eponymous firm on the belief that great design comes from great relationships.  He works closely with clients to develop solutions that are cost effective, on time, and beautiful.


With over 15 years of architectural experience, Aaron is a California licensed architect and has designed numerous residential, commercial and retail projects, from small budget renovations to new construction.


He has extensive experience bringing together complicated space programming concepts into cohesive, workable and efficient plans. His project types also include educational, arts, and cultural institutions. Leading a multidisciplinary firm of architects, designers, contractors and craftsman much of his work integrates design and construction as a single-point strategy to bring together creative solutions for his clients.


His prior experience as an Associate at Steven Ehrlich Architects in Culver City included the award winning Kendall Square Biotech Laboratory in Cambridge, MA, design for LAUSD New Middle School #4, and the master plan and design of the Northeast Campus at the historic Van de Kamp Bakery for Los Angels City College.


Aaron received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Woodbury University where he received the Grand Critique Award and participated in several international competitions including TKTS2000 with the Van Allen Institute and won an AIA/LA NEXT award for his ACSA/STI Hollow Structural Section competition. He continued his education studying Masters of Architecture and Urban Design at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design where his work was published in “New Orleans: Strategies for a City in Soft Land”. He has served on juries at Woodbury and presented his design work at ELEA, Panama.


Since beginning his career as an architect Aaron has participated in a number of organizations including: AIA Committee on the Environment (COTE), AIA Design Committee, AIA Urban Design Committee, Westside Urban Form, Asian American Architects and Engineers (AAA/e) and is an active member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).
