TORRENCE
FULL SERVICE ARCHITECTURE & CONSTRUCTION
JULY 2011
Sited on Los Angeles' iconic Hollywood Boulevard, Thai Ocha's new restaurant is right in the heart of Thaitown. Known for their good food, fast service, and great prices the owners are exploring a different concept for this -- their eighth -- restaurant. Using quality materials and an open-plan dining room this new restaurant will feature a full bar and an outdoor dining patio.
The real challenge comes from the renovation of the existing building, which has been left unattended and empty for a couple years. Aaron and his structural engineer toured the building and have determined that a full renovation is required, but the steel structure supporting the roof is in good shape. By saving the existing structure the new restaurant will have significant cost savings as compared to previous plans that called for it's demolition. Too often buildings are destroyed and destined for landfill.
Aaron and his team are exploring ways to not just save his clients money, but also to design with responsibility to our environment.
